A 1937 Fort Worth Landmark Restored

Located at 2717 Avenue B in Fort Worth, Texas, this one story stucco and clay tile building was constructed in 1937 in the Mission Revival style with Spanish Eclectic influences.

In 1991, the property was designated by the City of Fort Worth as a Historic and Cultural Landmark, and it is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was placed on Historic Fort Worth’s endangered list in 2015, helping spark renewed preservation attention and action.

This historic property is known for its Spanish Eclectic character and standout Mission inspired details, including:

• A gabled red clay tile roof over the chapel wing

• Arched doorways and multiple light steel casement windows

• A large round window below the chapel gable peak

• A 35 foot domed tower at the southeast corner of the chapel win
